Hallo Rüdiger,
ich wünsche Dir und Deinem Team ein erfolgreiches und gesundes neues Jahr - auch wenn's schon ein paar Tage her ist.
Wie ich soeben erfahren habe, bist Du mit den Technik Seminaren beschäftigt und hast in dieser Woche wenig Zeit.
Der Motor und die Einstellung der Maschine war im letzten Jahr einfach ein Traum. Ich habe keine Probleme mehr, an 600ern aus der IDM dran zu bleiben - zumindest auf den Graden und abhängig vom Fahrer..... Für deren Rundenzeiten bin ich meistens nicht geschaffen.
Ich würde gerne meine Duc wieder bei Euch überprüfen lassen. Sollte nicht allzuviel zu machen sein, da ich im letzten Jahr nur 4 Tage auf der Rennstrecke war.
Da der Transport im letzten Jahr so gut mit iloxx funktioniert hat, werde ich das wieder veranlassen. Die Duc bräuchte ich erst Ende Februar wieder - d.h. mit iloxx am 21-23.02. wieder zurück, da ich diese dann nach Alcarras verfrachten muss.

Es war ne echt gelungene Veranstaltung. Am liebsten wär ich noch ne Woche geblieben. Soooo viel geiles Zeug was da rumliegt. (Wo ist der "Schmidti") :schmidti:
Hab echt viel mitnehmen können. Kleiner insider :D
Ich hoffe den ein oder anderen nochmal in der kleinen Welt da draussen zu sehen.

ich habe jetzt meine Duc zusammen. Neu lackiert in original schwarz-gold, alle Teile, die ich teils auch bei Euch bestellt habe, (übrigens alles top-bin sehr zufrieden) drangebaut.
Sieht einfach klasse aus.
So,heute sollte dann Probefahrt stattfinden, eben noch neue Kerzen rein (dachte ich) und dann kommts!!!
Kerzengewinde inne Fritten.
Ich wollte schon losfahren, mir einen Boxsack kaufen....ich dreh ab!!!
Dann auch noch der stehende Zylinder....nein!!
Meine Frage ist jetzt, ob ich bei Euch die Dichtungen, die ich dafür benötige, einzeln bekomme? Muß die Fussdichtung auch neu?
Danke im Voraus und ich muß mich erstmal bischen abregen...

3) 45mm+39mm racing valves
4) lightweight adjustable cambelt pulleys
5) carrilo rods

Your achievements over the years with Ducati are pretty impressing and your homepage kicks you off and gives you great ideas for new projects.
I’m currently looking for a motor for my next project. The 1100 2 valve motors you have for sale, do they come complete with injection and all (or are they supplied with carbs?)?
2nd question, on these motors it’s single-sided swingarm only or it’s possible to use a conventional?
Please indicate price on motors w/wo injection etc

I mount the NCR covers you sent me and they looks great. I am looking for a clutch magnesium case. I saw one in your web, different of the titanium color of the Ducati performance Case.
May you say total price and shipping cost to Madrid (Spain). I see in the web that it is expensive that DP case, if you may do a little discount it helps to choose your case.

Lieber Rüdiger,
nun bin ich zurück in der fränkischen Heimat. Zwei tolle Tage bei euch im Norden verbracht. Deine Werkstatt und dein Laden sind wirklich beeindruckend...hier wird Passion gelebt, wirklich grandios. Auch unser Gespräch beim Abendessen mit Jochen war herzerfrischend!
Hab im Anhang einen Bericht von Jochen beigefügt, damit du weißt wie's bei uns aussieht, außerdem ne Einladung zu meinem Werkstattfest...is aufgrund der Distanz wohl eher unwahrscheinlich, aber wenigstens ne ernstgemeinte Geste :-)

Just before I went to Spa I blew a pick-up in my Dyna ignition, so I nicked the Lucas Rita from Joop's bike ( he was very glad with his crankshaft!!) and off I went.

Commend to Tuning his 750 engine:
Thanks for all the help and I'll send the old cylinders next week. Attached is a more recent photo. When we've put it together I'll send the correct dyno chart, the one I sent before was done in Portugal in 3rd gear so it was too high. 20/50 oil from now on!

Yes its the 60 degree heads and the titanium valves you made.
It gives me a very good impression and it sounds more "crisp" when lifting the throttle.
It pulls very strong and it gives ca 1000 rpm of more power now.
before your porting it was dropping power after 8500.
Will race Norway in the weekend and see how it goes.

Den luftfilter an sich + deckel hab ich schon berabeitet, die termignoni 70er komplettanlage und ein power comander III sind schon verbaut.
Ich denke der big bore kit und die kopfbearbeitung würden die sache gut abrunden.
Wie lange würde das dauern, wenn ich die zylinder+köpfe bei euch einschicken würde?

Ich werde den 944er-Kit bei Euch bestellen.
Ist der kurzfristig lieferbar?
Die Zahnriemenrollen sitzen ja mächtig fest in den Zylindern, eingeklebt?
Habt Ihr da einen speziellen Trick (erwärmen) oder Spezialwerkzeug zum de/montieren?
Oder könnt Ihr mir die umbauen wenn ich Dir die Zylinder vorab zuschicke?

P.S. Übrigends läuft Euer ASSO/Gilardoni-Zylinderkit von 1993 in meiner Königswelle 900SSD (KM-Stand 137.000)
bereits weit über 70.000km und hat immernoch mächtig Druck von unten um die meisten Gummiband-Duc´s
aus den engen Ecken heraus zu ärgern!!!

Hi Alex,
das mit dem Rahmen hat bestens geklappt ist frisch gepulvert vom feinsten Danke nochmals. Da die Karre nun komplett zerlegt ist stellt sich die Frage was kostet ein Austauschmotor für meine 900 (ZDM 906 SC 2) da der alte doch schon 60 TKM drauf hat und nicht mehr super dicht ist. Danke für die Rückantwort.

I received the part you send me this week. Looks very nice so again thanks for the good service.
Yesteray i picked up the engine at Carls place, so checking the engine and the mounting can be started this weekend. The only thing i have to sort out by now is how to get a working rev clock. My old one is a non electrical and now has to turn to an electrical.
Maybe you have a easy solution for that.
I am happy now and will have a good weekend, hope you will have a good weekend as well.

Ι'm riding basically inside the town and on the high-way too.
My ecu is custom from (DUCATI DEPOT).
I'am riding for fun but I prefer my bike to be the most powerful.
I'am doing with this bike about 3.500 per year , there is no budget limit.
My target is not to lost the character of Hypermotard (I mean that I prefer the power to be served in all reeves - of course I know that with racing crankshafts maybe I 'll have much power in the middle and high end and not so much in lower.
Maybe later I'll put a set of Pistal pistons 98mm.
I hope to help you a little and thank you VERY VERY much for your professional profile to this.

My old tuned (940syl + Kaemna short manifold FCR41 + 44 inlet valves) 900 ss engine has passed 115000 km and needs to be replaced.
Two options:
1. “New” 2001 M900ie engine (8000 km) with:
- 940 cylinders from old bike (80 000km)
- Short manifold Keihin FCR 41 from old bike
- Kaemna head porting (44/39 valves?)
- Kaemna New ignition system
- Kaemna New double spark plug system
2. “New” DS 1000 engine (5000 km) from 2006 M2SR or 2008 Sport classic (Which one do you recommend?)
- Short manifold Keihin FCR 41 from old bike (Is this possible?)
- Kaemna New ignition system for DS-plugs
- Kaemna Pistal hi-comp drop in 94 mm pistons
- OR Kaemna Pistal/1084 big bore kit
Exhaust manifold will be the standard items from a Supersport DS 1000.
What do you recommend?
I would like have an engine with good road torque and more than 95 rear wheel SAE hp.

das sind ja super Nachrichten.
Ich möchte bitte 8 Stück haben. ( Einen kompletten Satz kann ich mir ja hinlegen,frißt ja bekanntlich kein Brot.)
Bitte nenne mir doch mal interessenhalber den Preis für die Carrillo Pleuel für Mille.
Ob mit Mille oder Carrillo Pleuel, ich möchte die Kurbelwelle bei euch wuchten lassen. Soll ich die Welle schon Anfang Dezember zu euch schicken? Die genauen Kolbengewichte kann ich euch nennen.
Thema Doppelzündung und Ventilführungen: Ich möchte die Köpfe auf Doppelzündung erweitern lassen.
In den Köpfen sind Ventilführunden aus GG. Die halten bei den 44er Einlassventilen nur von 12 bis Mittag.
Ihr habt Führungen aus Sonderbronze. Diese möchte ich in den Köpfen haben. Köpfe sind leer. Kann ich die Köpfe Anfang Dezember zu euch schicken? Ventile Beilegen?
Ihr seid ein tolles Team.

Ich hätte zwei Fragen an Sie als Spezialisten:
Ich habe eine Tuono 04, die durch 15er Ritzel, Luftfilter-, Auspuff- und Pin 16-Modifikation m.E. recht gut läuft. Kaum Lastwechsel, kein Konstantfahrruckeln.
Welchen Effekt würde eine Powercommander-Lösung haben und wie teuer wäre diese inkl. Arbeitszeit? Welche Möglichkeit der Abstimmung bestehen OHNE Powercommander und wie teuer wären diese? Wo ist der Unterschied zwischen einer Einzelzylingerabstimmung und einer Synchronisation?
Ich habe heute bei der IDM in Hockenheim von Jürgen Fuchs erfahren, dass beim Hochschalten kein Kuppeln notwendig ist. Es sei besser, leichten Druck an den Schalthebel anzulegen und kurz vom Gas zu gehen und dadurch den Gangwechsel herbeizuführen. Habe ich direkt ausprobiert, klappt auch.
Aber: Ist dies nicht schädlich für die Kupplung bzw. das Getriebe?
Haben Sie einen Partnerbetrieb im Rhein-Main Gebiet/oder zumindest dichter als HB, der og Abstimmung durchführen könnte?

wollte mich mal mit positiven Nachrichten vom Nürburgring-Training melden.
Die Maschine läuft richtig stark - der Motor knallt richtig herrlich und ich hatte ein sehr breites Grinsen im Gesicht!!
Sind zwar nicht viel zum Fahren gekommen (1 Tag: Strecke wegen Nebel gesperrt. 2 Tag: nur 4 Turns gefahren).
Aber dafür waren die 4 Turns richtig geil!

Guten morgen Rüdiger,
die überarbeiteten Zylinderköpfe mit den großen Ventilen wären natürlich eine wirklich tolle Sache.
Allerdings kämen zu den 980.- ja noch die Nockenwellen dazu (die Kipphebel könnte ich ja wahrscheinlich von meinen jetzigen Köpfen verwenden).
Weche Nockenwellen wären denn da zu empfehlen (Original 900-er oder 900i.e.)?
Einsatz ist natürlich nur Straße mit Schwerpunkt gutes Drehmoment in der Drehzahlmitte.
Ich muss mir jetzt eh das komplette Paket inklusive Anpassung der Einspritzung überlegen.
Wenn ich die früheren Mails von dir richtig verstanden habe, dann würdest du für die Einspritzung den Eprom neu programmieren (keinen Powercommander).
Optimal wäre natürlich das bei dir vor Ort zu machen, alternativ könntest du mit meinen genauen Angaben (Airbox, Auspuff,..) den Eprom auch mit deinen Erfahrungswerten programmieren (wird dann vermutlich nicht ideal passen?).
Mit welchem Betrag muss ich dann noch ungefähr für die Einspritzungsanpassung rechnen?
Möchte mich an der Stelle auch noch für deine bisherigen prompten Antworten bedanken - ist wirklich nicht selbstverständlich..

Ich denke das ist die beste Lösung, ohne Dichtung montieren, hab mir das
ganze mal angesehen und eigentlich kriege ich das hin..., werde also mal
messen und dann die Angaben durchgeben um die Shims zu bestellen, hatte
am Anfang auch Zweifel wegen der Zylinderbohrungen, habe diese abermal
nachgemessen und die scheinen ohne Dichtung gespindelt zu sein...
Theoretisch brauche ich ja auch nur 0,30 Dichtungsstärke von den
eingebauten Shims abzuziehen...theoretisch..., übrigens spielt es eine
Rolle welcher Kurbelwellenseite ich ein schmalleres Shim einsetze?

Hallo Ducati Kaemna Team
Vor vielen Wochen hab ich schon mal bei euch bestellt, war super zufrieden mit euch.
Jetzt liegt wieder Arbeit an, aber ich bräuchte kompetente Hilfe von euch.
Die Simmeringe vorne an der Gabel müssen getauscht werden.
Hier habt 2 im Sortiment. (dbf035 und dbf036) Welche passen für meine 1982er 900S2?
Das selbe gilt für die Gabelmanschette. Welche passt hier? (dbr0050 oder dbr 0051)
Ebenfalls ist der Simmering einer der hinteren Federbeine kaputt. Habt ihr dafür auch Ersatz? Konnte im Katalog nichts finden. Leider weiss ich die Bezeichnung des Federbeines nicht, ich habe euch ein Bild beigefügt.

Hi
You guys have previously helped me out with engine rebuilds on my 944SS and 916 as well as many other parts and i have been extremely satisfied
I am doing a TT1 project now and have an old 1985 pantha 750 engine odly enough the rear cylinder head is turning the same way as the new style engines, exhaust out the back !
I was wondering if you had a 750 F1 rear cylinder head or simular for a conversion ? and what the price would be ?
I am planning to polish and restore all the casings and engine externals, once this is complete my plan is to have Kaemna do the internal re-build incl balancing, pistons, valves ect....
Further i am looking for a frame TT1, F1 or TT2 can you supply one and at what cost.
I am well aware that these things dont come cheap, but hey i love Ducatis !!

nach nun ca. drei Jahren ohne Ducati,spiele ich mit dem Gedanken mir wieder eine Ducati 748 mit einem 843 ccm Zylindersatz zu kaufen.
Mir ist aber ein solcher Zylindedrsatz für die 748 gänzlich unbekannt?!? Ein Zylindersatz aus der 916 kann es wohl nicht sein,dann hätte die Gute wohl mehr Hubraum.
Ich bin ein höchst zufriedener Kunde von euch aus früheren Jahren und bin mir sicher,daß Ihr mir die Frage beantworten könnt

Danke für Euren Newsletter.
Ich habe selbst vor Kurzem von meinem Mechaniker meine Monster durch Eure Teile "veredeln" können, nachdem ich voriges Jahr einen Unfall hatte und die Monster neu aufgebaut werden musste:
Big Bore 944 mit Doppelzündung
Des weiteren sind verbaut:
Keihin 41er Vergaser
leichter Schwung
selbst gemachte Auspuffanlage (mit Remus Endtöpfen)
Daneben zahlreiche weitere Veredelungen (Febur Einarmschwinge, Alu Gabelbrücke, MotoSpezial Tacho/Drehzahlmesser, PVM Felgen Alu geschmiedet, Anti-Hopping Kupplung, Rizomateile, Kellermann-Blinker, etc. etc.). Der Tank und die (Alu-) Abdeckung wurden matt Schwarz lackiert (ebenso das Motorgehäuse), der Rahmen pulverbeschichtet (Rahmenheck wurde modifiziert, damit die Endtöpfe drin Platz finden), viele Teile schwarz eloxiert.
Das Ergebnis dessen findet Ihr in den angehängten Abbildungen. DANKE an Euch und meine Mechaniker & Helfer!
Fazit: das Motorrad geht über den gesamten Bereich besser und spricht sehr viel weicher an. Am Prüfstand war es nicht - aber das merkt man schon, nachdem ich das Motorrad bereits seit 1994 hab.

Although it has been about three years ago since we last visited Kämna, it felt like coming home, straight away.
Marc, Frauke and yourself are really warm and devoted people, and your shop breaths oil, grease and gasoline, which is really addictive for a genuine Ducati-enthusiast as myself.
Your motorcycle genius combined with your passion for the twin and your kindness make for it that, to Stefan and me, you are about the closest out there to what this business should be about: passion. As we already respected you for your knowledge on the ducati-bikes, this respect has only grown since our visit. Many Belgian ducati-boxmovers should take an example from this.
Although my children were very happy, as we were still able to go for a swim, I do regret that we didn’t catch that lunch together, so I suggest we catch up on that when we return to pick up the bike.
If It’s okay with you, I will plan for the pick-up, next Thursday, 18 februari 2010. As it has begun snowing in Belgium too, I will not be able to take my desmo-baby for a ride straight away, but nevertheless... I’m really looking forward to the final result!
If this timing suits you, than we will arrive the 18th around eleven, so we can catch up on that lunch.
Also, Patrick Pauwels, a friend of mine, apparently ordered a clutch pump (ergal, red) @ 99eur. Please include this on the invoice, as I will be taking it home for him.

Meiner Frau und mir hat es viel Spass gemacht und wir haben viel gelernt. da wir nun Blut geleckt haben, würden wir uns gerne für die weiterführenden Kurse wie Motorendemontage und Tuning anmelden. Yes, my bike is amazing!!!
Right now i´m loving the torque caracter of the 916!!
The only thing that I do miss a little bit is more top end grunt in the last 1000 rpm... maybe what I felt is that the engine is SO strong in the mid-regime that in the end is not strong enough... but I recon that maybe is only a feeling...
Could the throttle body´s have any restriction? The bike is from year2000, so I think that they don´t have restrictions but... I don´t know, maybe is just a feeling.
About the brake pads, Alex told me that the SV could do...
But now I´m only using the bike for track-days and "hot" journeys on the road. So I think that if the SRQ are more soft, then I´ll prefer them!
What´s the difference between both?

Good morning Ruddy,
The week-end was long but fantastic. Everything started Thursday. In order to get a place, we started to install the paddock, tents and the whole shebang.
Friday : 9;00AM the bike is ready, weather is changing from rain to sun. We decide to change tires Dunlop racing 150/70*18 for Avon Racing 150/70*18. The last one is less performing on dry track, but better on rain. It doesn't rain, but the track is wet. After the 15 minutes training (19:00H) with a 6th place, the bracket 35 was too long.
Saturday :
Remove the bracket for a 36, the qualifying session start at 2:00H. Weather was quite better, sunny and windy. Result 5th place.
Sunday :
First heat on 13:00H, result 4th I decide to change for another bracket 37, and modify the suspensions settings.
Second heat, fighting for 2nd place against a BSA Rocket 1100 from Austria. The first Rocket from UK untouchable (1300cc).
We are really happy as the DucKämna can follow the BMW 1200 full stage and the Guzzi Moto Bel 1200 !!!!
After the 2 races, don’t you thing it will make sense to come back for a control.
Also this may be the time to discuss what or when to work for the endurance bike. (a Bevel or a TT with a 944 engine)

Hallo Rüdiger,
gefühlt könnte es sein, daß der Ofen unten rum nicht ganz so brutal an der Kette zieht wie vorher, aber früher war vor allem deutlich spürbar, wie dem Motor ab 7000 die Puste ausgeht, daher mußte ich bei spätestens 7500 schalten. Nun kann ich bis zum Begrenzer (8700 ?) jubeln und habe immer Leistung parat. Man merkt aber auch, daß die Leistung da nicht mehr zunimmt. Ich schalte mittlerweile bei 8000, wenn nicht der nächste Bremspunkt naht. Alles in allem sehr breitbandig. Eine Idee mehr oben raus wäre immer schön ich würde es aber nicht dem Bums von unten opfern wollen.
Also: Kunde zufrieden !

ich habe gestern die angekündigte Probefahrt gemacht. Das Motorrad ist nicht wiederzuerkennen.Ich weiß jetzt auch, was Du mit der "750iger" Nockenwelle meintest.Es ist tatsächlich der Nockensatz der 750 Rundmotorköwe, und entsprechend geht der Bock jetzt auch. Abstimmung und Ansprechverhalten ist absolut top, es macht richtig Spaß, die unglaubliche Durchzugskraft auch aus niedrigen Drehzahlen zu geniessen.
Ein kleiner Wehrmutstropfen ist allerdings da, die Kupplung trennt sehr schlecht gegenüber vorher, was sicherlich nicht auf die Nockenwellen zurückzuführen ist( Das gelegentliche Rutschen schon).Kann es sein, das der eine Liter MotorexFormula 4T SAE 15W/50 sich nicht mit dem vorhandenen 20W/50, niedriglegiert,verträgt und die Lamellen jetzt ein bißchen kleben??
Ansonsten noch einmal vielen Dank für die tolle Arbeit.

Thanks,all runs really fine !!since 2 years!! VeeTwo doesn't seem to reply so I'll check the sizes and order from
you tomorrow. The dyno chart I sent before was done in 3rd gear so it needs
to be adjusted by 0.97/1.33. 77nm and 88rwhp(rear wheel HP,87 Din Nm ,and 98 DIN HP !!!) is the result. It has a nice
flat torque curve. Since then, I've changed to a 6 speed gearset, light
alternator, slipper clutch, 1098 brakes, RS Ohlins forks, ETI Kevlar tank,
and Sharkskinz fairing. I'll visit in the summer for a few details because
you are professional.

Hallo Rüdiger,
eigentlich bin ich nicht der Rechtschreibexperte, und auf der Suche nach
Fehlern war ich auch nicht. Aber manche Dinge erscheinen einem Wichtig,
und eigentlich bin ich froh um Jeden der mit so viel Enthusiasmus(?ich
glaube ich muss mal googeln) Ducati schraubt und verbessert. Leider seid
Ihr aus dem Süddeutschen Raum doch etwas weit weg, und meine Bedarfe an
Ducatiteilen mit der Zeit immer weniger, was einfach daran liegt, dass
meine Ducati wie auch ich immer älter werden und immer weniger bewegt
werden.
Aber macht nur weiter so, und vernachlässigt die echten (KöWe) Ducatis
nicht. Inzwischen könnte man ja schon Klassiker aus deinem Hause kaufen.
Eine Kämna steht im Ebay.

Hallo habe bei euch vor ein Paar Jahren ein Zylinderkopf von einer Cagiva Elefant 750 Bj.94 reparieren lassen.
War damals sehr zufrieden!
Habe jetzt einen defekten Zylinderkopf von einer Cagiva Elefant 900 Bj.94 wo das Auslassventil und der Ventilsitz zu erneuern währe.
Frage:
Könnt ihr das machen, und wieviel kostet es ungefähr.

You are the star! I fully agree with you on the order of changes we would need, but unfortunately most of the changes you recommended are not possible according to our almost superstock rules. We could add that Motec and we will change wheels to magnesium ones, but that is about it. Suspension tweaks we can, and will, naturally do (that race kit has been ordered already), but I think will we kick off with the original suspension to track all the changes. Finnish tracks are so bumpy that race kit as such may make the front too stiff (too much fast compression damping).
Drivability is really the key here. That is why mg-wheels were the first order to us, together with that race kit to the front suspension - power is just secondary, but of course important as well. The main motivation for going for higher rev limit is just that we would get more flexibility on short straights between corners, rather than increase in the top end.

Tja, was soll ich sagen, in den 25 Jahren wo ich mit Ducati zu tun habe, habe ich fast alle Beteiligten schon kennengelernt und so einiges erlebt. Aber dass ein Händler einen anderen Händler dermaßen lobt, dass ist echt was ganz Neues :-) Respekt !

Der Ulf hat mir den Ständer in einer wunderbar geschweissten und leichten Ausführung geschickt. Im Nachhinein hat wirklich jeder das gehalten, was er auch versprochen hat. Wenn jedes Geschäft so problemlos und unkompliziert verlaufen würde, hätte unsere Geschäftswelt keinen Ärger mehr. Dass der Käufer dann auch noch manchmal nachts aufsteht um den Gegenstand seiner Träume anzuschauen sei hier nur am Rande erwähnt.
Wünsche dir noch manchen glücklichen Kunden.

zeit haben aufmachen und alles auf Verschleiß nachmessen und prüfen .
Dann werde ich entscheiden ,ob ich ihn wieder aufbaue oder einen Ersatz
Motor kaufe , ebay kommt da nicht in frage , werde mich dann bei Euch
melden.

My frame is from the end of 1999, do you think it´s possible to put the 748R engine in this frame? I read lots of people saying that isn´t possible, because of the different air-box, with others saying that if the original one (from the 748 biposto) is used we don´t have problems...
What do you think?
By the way, the 996 S engines that you also have could be fit more easy and without major problems?
And just one more thing... If I send to you my blown engine, how much do you think you could offer in exchange with one of yours?

I have just done a quick test run with the new phonic wheel, seems to have cleared the problem right up!
Even with fuelling far from perfect, I only have one small misfire at 8500 RPM, before was misfiring all over the place from 7500 up, so it looks very very promising!

königswellenseminar. ich sage nur SUPER. wer also mal lust hat seine
kenntnisse zu vertiefen oder einfach mal ein wenig über wellen zu
erfahren, sollte sich diesen kurs für nächstes jahr im januar schon
vormerken. wer mehr wissen will kann mich gerne für weitere
details/infos anmailen. ich habe ca. 100 bilder geschossen. die zwei
tage waren wirklich unbezahlbar.

Falls es doch mal die Kurbelwelle wird, denke Ich an Euch, die wo Sie damals für mich (durch Ricambi Weiss) gemacht haben, hatte mir ein extrem guten Eindruck gemacht und war echt super Toll feingewuchtet.
Und Falls Ich mal ein paar Teile wieder brauche denke ich natürlich auch auch an euch !
(Verstärkte ölpumpe von Ihnen habe ich vor einige Monate gekauft gehabt).

habe vor zwei Wochen die erste Testfahrt gemacht.Ich war wirklich sehr angenehm überrascht wie das Ding nach vorn geht.Ist echt ein Unterschied wie Tag und Nacht.Dagegen ist der Desmoquattro echt eine Schlaftablette.Die Abstimmung ist dir wohl auch sehr gut gelungen.Geht wunderbar ans Gas und super Leistungsentfaltung.Und danke nochmal für den Kupplungsdeckel.Am Wochenende werd ich wohl wieder auf Piste gehen und ein paar Mille und 996 wegschnupfen.Alles klar falls nochmal was sein sollte melde ich mich wieder.

habe zwar schon gesagt, daß ich sehr zufrieden bin, aber, nochmal:
Die Mühle geht wie Schmidts Katze. Aus den Ecken raus in jedem
Drehzahlbereich.
Leider hat sich das in Most nicht auf meine Rundenzeiten ausgewirkt, denn
ich hatte eine Bremse im Kopf.
Beim nächsten mal werde ich aber garantiert die 2 min knacken.

Hallo Rüdiger, ja ich bin sehr zufrieden. Habe das Wetter am letzten Samstag genutzt und bin ca.100km gefahren. Man merkt den Unterschied ab mittlerer Drehzahl schon sehr deutlich. Durch den Wegfall des Airboxdeckels hat sich auch die Geräuschkulisse noch ein wenig zum positiven verändert. Der Auspuff wird nächste Woche neu gestopft und der alte MSS EPROM hat bei eBay schon 12 Beobachter :)

Nun zum Grundlegenden:
- wie gesagt, es ist eine Monster Dark 900 ie
- Baujahr 2000
- Km-Stand ca. 16000 Km
- original Airbox
- Auspuffanlage bestehend aus original Krümmer und BOS- Endschalldämpfern
- Zahnriemen und Venileinstellung sind vor ca. 6000 km gemacht
- neue Zündkerzen/ Zündkerzenstecker (vor 100 km)
- neuer Luftfilter
Symptome:
- gutes Anspringverhalten im kalten Zustand
- im warmen Zustand schlechte Gasannahme aus dem Standgas heraus (verschluckt sich beim Anfahren, muß erst mehrmals Hochtdrehen bevor es losgehen kann)
- schlechtes Anspringverhalten im warmen Zustand- nach 30 km Fahrt und Zwischenstop an der Tankstelle kotzt die Batterie und der Anlasser glüht nach erneutem Startversuch- während der Motor dann Takt für Takt zum laufen kommt, wird hinten der Sprit Eimerweise rausgeschmissen.... 3-4mal hochdrehen- dann kanns erst los gehen
- bei Temperaturen um die 15°C und im Drehzahlbereich zwischen4-5000 U/min gibt es hier und da mal kleine Spuckanfälle
- Spritverbrauch liegt zwischen 8-9 Litern, die 900 Monster mit Vergaser liegt bei vergleichbarer Fahrweise (Langstrecke, Gruppentouren Landstrasse) bei 5-6,5 Litern
Nun möchte man ja diese Dinge gern beseitigt haben und informiert sich an verschiedenster Stelle. Nur kommen dabei unterschiedlichste Meinungen zu Tage...
die Einen sagen Einspritzanlage einstellen- Drosselklappen syncronisieren,
die Anderen sagen offenen Eprom rein und wieder Andere sagen geht garnicht, da ist gar kein Eprom drin- da muss ein Powercomander rein....mmmmmmmhhhhh???
Tja, nun bin ich an einer Stelle angelangt, wo guter Rat teuer ist und hoffe, dass Ihr mir mit kompetenten Antworten helfen könnt.

Because of a crach I have now to rebuild the front parto of my MTS and in my wish is to do something similar to that Masterpiece.
The only one problem that I find is: where to place the battery unit. How did You do that?
Your help is greatly welcome.

jau die Pads sind für die R,
die Monster ist von 6/1997 ZDM900M012375.
Sind die nich alle gleich?Ich dachte die wären alle gleich - wo ist denn der Unterschied?
Kannst Du mir auch noch son Kupplungshalteschlüssel für 48 Z schicken?
Du weißt schon, zur Demontage/Blockierung der Kupplung.
851 leider noch nicht zur Brust genommen - keine Zeit den Vorderradreifen zu
wechseln!!!! Traurich aber wahr.Die letzten Einsätze waren mit der R.

Einstellung Keihin Vergaser mit EG Auspuff
m Fahrbetrieb ist der Hänger kaum zu spüren, daher sind mir meine Nachbarn doch lieber. Vielen Dank für die Info, ich werde mich bei Bedarf wieder melden. Grüsse Thorsten

Yesterday my mechanic assembled the 748R engine I purchased from you. He also performed a small test in the bench and every thing looks great.
But there is a small matter. The rev counter is now showing double rpms. Do you have any tips?

Hallo
Ich plane gerade einen rennstreckentauglichen Zweiventiler mit 900 bis 1000 ccm.Basis entweder einen aufgebohrten 900er oder einen 1000ds-Motor.Größere Ventile und offener Auspuff.Nockenwellen warscheinlich 900SS für größtmögliche Standfestigkeit.Für die Gemischaufbereitung sehe ich drei Möglichkeiten,jede mit Vor-und-Nachteilen.
1:Einspritzung,mit Powercommander leicht von außen abzustimmen,auch im unteren Drezahlbereich.
2:Flachschiebervergaser,in sachen Leistung der Einspritzung sicher mindestens gleichwertig,aber schwieriger abzustimmen.
3:Der alte Weber-Doppelvergaser der 90er 900SS Modelle.Ich hatte so einen Motor Anfang der 90er Jahre.Mit Köpfen und Ansaugkrümmer von Rüdiger Kämna war der Motor mit offenen Auspuffen ein echtes Tier.Super Ansprechverhalten und Leistung !

I have just put my ducati 749s with the 924cc kit on the Dyno.
IT produced 126bhp and 96Nm of torque it's unbelievable.

Thanks for helping me with parts over the past couple of years.
A few notes, forks are magnesium, wheels are epm magnesium, seat and tank
are originals from Steve Wynn purchased may years ago by a canadian ducati
dealer. Exhaust is from oldracingspareparts.

Hallo Rüdiger,
ja meine aufregende Heimreise ist schon wieder etwas länger her.
Hatte bis zur Grenze Deutschland/Tschechien eine gute/trockene Reise.
An einem kleinen Grenzübergang traf ich auf einen sehr eifrigen Grenzpolizisten der nach meiner akustischen unüberhörbaren Ankunft sofort alles genau inspizierte und nachfragte ob denn diese Auspuffanlage Original sei (HaHa was denn sonst -g-). Dann nahme er noch meinen Hinterreifen genau unter die Lupe und bemängelte die vorhandene Profiltiefe (das Autobahnfahren war wirklich Reifenmord). Dann noch schnell eine Geräuschmessung durchgeführt und schon war ich 70.-€ leichter und habe nun 3 Punkte im Vormerksystem. Na ja. Ich wollte eigentlich nur mehr am schnellsten Weg nach Hause (hab ich auch fast trocken geschafft).
Ich bin auf jeden Fall wirklich über die Verbesserung sehr erfreut. Das Fahren war eine echte Freude. Ein wirklich gutes Gefühl.
Das ruckeln ist fast wie weggeblasen. Bei der Heimfahrt ist es mir fast überhaupt nicht mehr aufgefallen.
Bei meiner letzten Ausfahrt dieses Jahr hab ich nochmal genau darauf geachtet.
Bin über den Erfolg auf jeden Fall erfreut und froh das du Zeit für die vielen Versuche hattest.

Das Ding geht nun unbeschreiblich und macht einen tierischen Spass.
Es ist eine wahre Freude die starken Vierzylinder in den Kurven zu
necken:-) Der neue Motor in meiner stark erleichterten Monster ist das perfekte Gerät für unsere Pässe.
Herzlichen Dank noch einmal für die Unterstützung und Deine
wertvollen und kompetenten Tipps. Da ich ja nun eine neue Baustelle in der Werkstatt habe Aprilia RSV Mille) werde ich bestimmt wieder Deine Hilfe in Anspruch nehmen.

Erstmal Herzlichen Dank für das Bestens gelungene Tuning meiner RSV.
Ich konnte den Donnerbalken gleich in Spa testen und muss sagen das
ist der Hammer.
das Ding läuft feiner als je zuvor hat Druck vom Keller bis obenraus
und hat praktisch keine Lastwechselreaktionen mehr.
Die Reiskocher haben grosse Mühe mit diesem Bums unten heraus.
vielleicht gibt es noch weitere Feinheiten die dem Motor noch
gut tun würden.

Ruediger,
I finally build them in. I had found two local shops who could do
the honing and nicosyl coating. They both went bankrupt, so it took
some time to find a trusthy replacement. I have included the
horsepower results of a test run. Note that this is an uncalibrated
run (because I was not going to change anything anymore I took the
cheapest option). This means that the results are not corrected for
slip and air pressure, but those factors more or less compensate
each other.
Specs:
- open airbox (done myself) with K&N filters
- standard fuel chip on 3.05% CO1
- Ducati performance 1000ss slip-ons (they are a little longer and give more torque and more ground clearance)
- 98mm bold on kit (11.5 : 1 version)
- One step colder sparks
- Factory Mulistrada 1100 head gasgets (they fit perfectly, no cutting needed)
Thanks for the tips, you can add a happy customer (no problem when
you use it on your site).

Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren..
nachdem ich heute die von Ihnen bestellten Teile erhalten habe,
machte ich mich sofort an die Arbeit. Mit dem von Ihnen gelieferten
Schlüssel "Köwe Apu Mutter" liess sich sogar die alte "Sternmutter"
problemlos lösen. Da ich keinen geeigneten Schlüssel für diese
Originalmuttern auftreiben konnte, habe ich bei Ihnen auch gleich
die beiden "Apu Muttern Köwe" bestellt und gleich eingebaut.
Zusammen mit den ebenfalls bei Ihnen gekauften Chromstahlkrümmern
sieht das ganze jetzt kurz gesagt:"super aus!"
Alles passt und auch der Preis stimmt. ;-))
Ich habe nun schon einige Teile für meine Liengme-Ducati bei Ihnen
bestellt und möchte mich an dieser Stelle ganz herzlich für den
prompten Service bedanken. Seit ich den Link zu Ihrer Firma gefunden
habe, macht das Fahren mit einem doch in die Jahre gekommenen
"Ital-Edelbike" erheblich mehr Spass, weiss man doch, dass man
Ersatzteile auftreiben kann. Der "Veredler" meiner Ducati, Herr
Yves Liengme, hat nur gerade 5 Km Luftlinie von mir im Nachbardorf
gewohnt. Die Phonostöpfe sind damals von Herrn Aemisegger in Uzwil,
ebenfalls ein Nachbardorf von mir, gefertigt worden. Nun sind beide
nicht mehr, dafür habe ich ja nun Ihre Anschrift.
Ich wünsche der Firma Kämna schöne und erholsame Festtage, einen
guten Rutsch ins neue Jahr und weiterhin viel Erfolg.

I run frequintly with my roncase bevel and she do this
wonderfull.
Start on the first kick, is verry fast and powerfull. My
Italian lady is in good condition.

Hello! Thank you for your answer on why my ducati stops after
20km,and starts again after 1 minute.I have checked
the air breater valve on topp of tank ,and this was completely
blocked.I removed it an no everything seems to be as it
should.The bike runs and runs whit no stops at all.THANK YOU.I have
talked whit the mecanic how looked at my bike ,and he vent totally
RED when Itold him what was the reason for the stops.He so sorry
,and appologeist for
being so (out of date.) I told him about you and you quick
respons,and super service.Thank you again,and have a

Hallo Ihr Lieben,
DANKE, für die SUPER Einstellung meines Bikes. Die 748 geht so gut
wie nie und
das was Ihr mit der Federung gemacht habt war mehr als hilfreich!
Der wellige Asphalt von Most konnte mir keine Unruhe ins Fahrwerk bringen - Da ich mich derart wohl auf dem Mopped gefühlt habe, habe ich auf die Variationen am Fahrwerk verzichtet, die Rüdiger noch vorgeschlagen hatte. Mein Saisonstart im März in Ledenon war ebenfalls erfolgreich und ich bin bei meiner Premiere (erstes Rennen) nicht Letzter geworden, Platz 15 von 21 Startern, bin von Position 17 gestartet ;-).

Hi Alexander,
Only last weekend had a chance to ride the bike with the new
gadgets. The "open" air inlet has made the engine much stronger in
the lower revs, throttle reaction was very predictable and combined
with the speed gas the controllability of the bike increased
severely; smooth, precise and fast! Last but not least she makes a
deep powerful sound now which definitely adds to the fun (we do not
have decibel restrictions in Dubai)

Overall reduction in unsprung weigth is noticeable when riding(1).

Die einhellige Meinung von uns: Da habt Ihr (mal wieder) ein klasse
Mopped auf die Räder gestellt. So wird die Multistrada auch Leuten
gefallen, die bisher mit ihr nicht viel anfangen konnten. Und die Drehmomentkurve des 1075er Motors treibt mir natürlich die „haben wollen“- Tränen in die Augen (DB2…).

I will be looking to buy more Aprilia bits from you and will recommend you to my Ducati/Aprilia riding mates.
I know you don't have them on your website but can you supply a Carbon Fibre fairing complete and and Carbon Fibre Seat/Tailpiece for a 98-2000 RSV Mille? if so how much would it cost.
